About Dj Diego aka GLoBaLDj Diego aka GloBaL has been a permanent fixture in Chicago's ever-changing music market for the last 28 years. Spinning since the age of 13, with the inspiration provided by Ralph Rosario of the Hot Mixx 5, Dj Diego has continued to maintain a reputation of keeping his audience involved with a consistent blend of Old School favorites and current club hits. The dj formerly known as Disco, has displayed his talents in almost every hot spot that the Chicago Nightlife had to offer; beginning @ Mendel (a venue that was one of the birthplaces of House Music)..to The Warehouse, to a residency @ The Prop House, V103 WVAZ FM Chicago Traffic Jam mixx, and The House of Blues, just to name a few. Being GloBaL has given Diego the opportunity to travel and entertain across State lines from Atlanta, to Washington,D.C., Wisconsin, and Dallas. His global-ness even extends beyond time zones, from spinning in Jamaica(1998) and Beijing, China in 2000. Dj Diego has opened up for Bobby Womack, CAMEO, Joe, Tony Tone Toni, Teena Marie, and Prince; and also has had the distinct opportunity to provide A Stress Relief Party for Oprah Winfrey and her staff. In 2002, Dj Diego aka GloBaL extended his musical talents through production with the formation of Da Matrix Sound Lab a studio without any boundaries or human limitations. In 2004 & 2009, Dj Diego became a member of an elite group of Chicago disc jockeys called The Soul Selectors & LB Productions respectfully, extending his craft and listening audience to celebrities such as K Fox, Ludacris, Spike Lee, and R. Kelly. Achieving stability in a market flooded with over-night cd-djs, Dj Diego aka GloBaL has maintained his creative edge with his music knowledge and consistent mixing ability.
